How It Works
Face Detection
The RGB camera captures the subtle color changes in blood circulation. A sophisticated face-detection algorithm identifies regions of interest (ROIs) on the face, focusing on areas with strong signals for further analysis.
Advanced rPPG Algorithms
Vitals™ utilizes remote photoplethysmography (rPPG), a cutting-edge alternative to traditional contact-based PPG methods. This non-invasive approach works by detecting subtle color changes on the skin caused by blood flow, a phenomenon invisible to the naked eye. This RGB information is then processed by our AI-powered Vitals™ Cloud Service hosted on secure cloud servers.
Our advanced signal processing and AI-driven algorithms, including Blind Source Separation (BSS) and deep learning (DL) methods, accurately extract PPG signals from facial images. These signals are then processed using techniques such as frequency analysis and peak detection to provide accurate vital sign readings.
